Dr Soumya Basu has over 20 years’ experience working in both adult and child/adolescent psychiatry. Also an Associate Professor of the Department of Psychological Medicine at Monash University, Dr Basu has authored many articles in his areas of expertise, is fluent in Bengali, Hindu, Urdu, Nepali and English and has keen research interests in youth mental health, early intervention, developmental trauma and developmental disabilities including autism and early psychosis.
